We found the perfect house in Florida ✨

It’s everything we need and more. Renovated, freshly painted, has a deck and bigger yard for the dogs, has a garage for me and my furniture hoarding, my first walk-in closet in years and is less than ten minutes to my mom’s house, sister’s, aunt’s, numerous cousins and is in the same neighborhood as one (soon to be two!) of my childhood best friends. Oh! And there’s a community pool right around the corner and it’s also walking distance to a lake.

The market in Tallahassee is crazy right now (pricey and fast) and we were so blessed to get in the first of MANY applications for this gem. It happened to pop up in the middle of the Florida State game on Saturday…so as an entire town was tailgating and having friends over, I was sitting on the couch 400 miles away (also watching the game) but simultaneously filling out an application for a house back home…

I can’t wait to put our stamp on it and make it our own. 💙

Is there a specific design element you’ve replicated from house to house before? One you just didn’t want to give up quite yet?🧐

Usually, the style of the home will switch up the aesthetic, or I want to try some thing that is trending, or my taste has evolved while living there and a new house is a fresh start.

Much of this will be true for our future home in Florida; I’m taking our aesthetic in a slightly different direction (using things we already own), and I plan on toning down the jewel tones of our current color story. BUT, one thing I AM considering replicating is this color-blocking sitch behind the bed (if it were to work with the future master layout, of course).

What do y’all think? What’s one element you’ve used at multiple houses? Cuz I’m gunna need to sleep on this one… 😴

Currently living vicariously through you all as they’ll be no fall decorating in this house this year! Okay, I bought two mums, two mini pumpkins at @traderjoes and brought in some Indian Grass from the yard- but that’s it!
